Paraplegic murderer Abdul Basit's execution postponed after he could not stand on the gallows Abdul Basit, who was convicted of murder in 2009, contracted tubercular meningitis in 2010 while in Faisalabad Prison in Pakistan which left him paralysed from the waist down.
